Jewish Peoples Schule

Mission Statement

The Jewish Peoples Schule educates our Jewish and non-Jewish friends on secular, progressive lines. The Schule aims to share and relate the historical struggles of the Jewish people to other peoples’ struggles against oppression.

The Jewish Peoples Schule works for a future where Palestinians and Israelis and all people live side by side in equality and security. We trace our lineage to the martyrs of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, the creation of Birobidzhan and the Jewish Autonomous Region in present day Russia which was established by the Soviet Union in 1931, and the movement for justice against the unlawful executions of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.

We live by the words “Never Again,” but we believe these words mean “Never Again for all people against oppression.” We support the rights of all oppressed people regardless of race, gender-identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, etc. We are the educational section of the United Jewish Peoples Fraternal Order, continuing the 1930 Jewish Peoples Fraternal Order, the Jewish section of the International Workers Order (IWO).
